Olsommer to Host Concealed Carry Seminars in Pike and Wayne Counties
March 30, 2026
HARRISBURG – In a continuing effort to better inform area gun owners regarding their rights under state law, Rep. Jeff Olsommer (R-Pike/Wayne) will be hosting two concealed carry seminars for the residents of Pike and Wayne counties.
The Pike County Concealed Carry Seminar will take place on Thursday, April 16, from 6-8 p.m., at the Pike Training Facility, 135 Pike County Blvd., in Lords Valley. Presenters will be Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin and Pike County Sheriff Brian Vennie.
The Wayne County Concealed Carry Seminar will take place on Thursday, May 28, from 6-8 p.m., at the Lakeville Volunteer Fire Company, 10 Daniels Road, in Lakeville. Presenters will be Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell and Wayne County Sheriff Chris Rosler.
“These seminars are a great opportunity for residents to become informed and educated, as well as remain aware of their rights as gun owners,” Olsommer said. “Residents will be able to learn exactly what their rights are under Pennsylvania law and ask any questions they may have about them.”
Both seminars will feature information about the state’s firearms laws and the Castle Doctrine, which allows a homeowner to use deadly force if necessary, when threatened by an armed intruder, how to obtain a permit to carry concealed weapon and other valuable information regarding the state’s gun laws.
Registration is required for each event and can be made by going online at RepOlsommer.com/events. Seating is limited.
